She was born Hilary Erhard Duff on September 28th, 1987 in Houstan, Texas. Hilary was born into a family with parents Bob and Susan Duff and older sister, actress/singer Haylie Duff who was born two and a half years earlier on February 19, 1985.
When Hilary was six, she had been traveling in the Cechetti Ballet with her sister Haylie, but decided she wanted to fulfill her dream of acting. Her first part was in the mini-series, "True Women", her role was so small her name wasn't even listed in the credits, but her first starring role was as Ellie in "The Soul Collector", for which she won a "Best Performance in a TV Movie or Pilot (Supporting Young Actress)" Hilary also starred in the made for tv movie "Casper Meets Wendy" in fall of 1998. In the movie she played the young witch Wendy. Success came again as she took the role of the starring title character Lizzie McGuire in the #1 Disney Channel Hit Series self-entitled, "Lizzie McGuire" in 2000. The show finished it's production in summer of 2002 although it still has one episode left that airs in the US on February 14,2004.
Hilary also filmed a Disney Channel movie "Cadet Kelly" in the summer of 2001. Hilary returned to the big screen when she released her movie "The Lizzie McGuire Movie" whiched was filmed in Rome, Italy. Say it isn’t true! Some of Hilary Duff’s fans recently accused her of lip-synching at one of her concerts. Could Hilary really be taking the easy way out? Not a chance…
According to her staff, the problem started as a result of faulty equipment. Hilary was performing in Mexico, using local equipment… equipment that she wasn’t used to. She wasn’t using her regular gear.
For just a few seconds, at the beginning of the concert, fans could see that she was singing into the microphone but they couldn’t hear her. A few more seconds passed before Hilary realized that the mic wasn’t turned on.
Don’t worry, she’s not trying to take after Ashlee Simpson, who was once caught lip-synching on Saturday Night Live. What you hear is the real thing.

Maybe Haylie and Hilary Duff just got too much load on their shoulders - after all, their parents got a divorce and it's during the Christmas season! How sad is that? =( According to reports, it started when cameras began following the Haylie and Hilary Duff into the courthouse which led to a Fox News cameraman being shoved. The normally polite singers screamed, "What's wrong with you?" as they made their way through the building. And everything became worse when the camera crews eventually broke through the security barrier. The sisters and the paparazzi then began hurling insults at each other in an R-rated four-letter-word showdown. Tsk tsk! Of course, everything was caught on tape. Duff sisters forget to pay resto bill! December 19, 2007
Thank god the Canadian restaurant manager was kind enough to pay their bill for them! Apparently, Hilary Duff left the Glowbal Grill & Satay Bar in Vancouver without paying for her bar bill. But rather make a big fuss out of it, the resto's boss Jeffrey Penna covered the $400 bill Hilary and her sister Haylie forgot to pay. And he had no hard feelings against the pop star sisters too! According to Mr. Penna, the bill was worth it for a night with the Duff sisters: "They were delightful to be with."
Hilary Duff is currently in Vancouver, Canada filming for a new digital feature called Safety Glass. The movie is about a reporter (Hilary) covering the launch of the Space Shuttle Challenger. She was seen last December 19 doing downtown shopping with her mother despite the rain. The two was caught on camera happily strolling in the drizzle outside Holt Renfrew. Hilary Duff was also spotted with sister at the Spice Girls concert at GM Place recently.

Former Lizzie McGuire star, Hilary Duff, was recently interviewed by Access Hollywood's Maria Menounos about weight issues in Hollywood, and boy, did she unload her feelings on that touchy subject! Maria asked Hilary, "In Hollywood there's a lot of pressure, at least in the weight category. How do you deal with that?" And the now-svelte actress replied, "They said things before, you know like, 'Oh my gosh! She's gained weight!' And then I lose weight and then it's, 'Oh my god, she has lost too much weight!' I think that when you just laugh about it and you don't let it effect you. It's easier said then done, definitely, because it hurts your feelings and it gets to you, and we're just human." That is so true! Celebrities are humans too and Hilary Duff can specially feel the stings of insults since she grew up in public. Rumors were rampart that the Lizzie McGuire star will soon marry her hockey player boyfriend Mike Comrie after he was spotted shopping for engagement rings recently. However, Hilary Duff finally put all rumors to rest in her interview in the upcoming January issue of the sexy Cosmopolitan magazine. The singer reveals, "I'm definitely not ready to get married. I think a reason that people in this business get married young is that they feel like everything comes to them sooner in life. It's normal to be like, 'Okay, what's next?'" It didn't matter to Hilary Duff that her ex Joel Madden already has a baby with Nicole Richie, she is just plainly not ready to start her own family.
The talented actress/fashion designer/singer was also asked about weight and body image issues to which she admitted she has fretted about her weight like regular people do. Hilary Duff explains, "You lose some happiness when that's all you think about. There definitely was a time, about a year and a half ago, when I was pretty obsessed with my body and my weight, but I'm better not stressing about my body all the time."

According to the US Weekly source: "They're serious. He's whipped. He never goes out with his boys; he's all about Hilary." Wow! In just a span of less than six months! Anyway, the lovebirds were last spotted going clubbing last November 20 (Monday night/Tuesday morning) in the latest NYC hotspot Butter. Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie were among the celebrities raring to shake their booty that night. After her weekend with ex-boyfriend, Aaron Carter, the Lizzie McGuire star was spotted enjoying a hockey game where her current boyfriend was playing. Hilary Duff was sitting rink side at Madison Square Garden about two nights ago to cheer on Mike Comrie (her generous lover who gave her a birthday car) at the Islanders vs. Rangers game. The paparazzi was able to take great shots of Hilary Duff - whose expressions ranged from nail-biting thrill, to happiness (above), to fear and nervousness - it was all there in her face! So, can this be love already?? Lol! As they say, hockey games are fun but seeing your loved one getting a beating and shoved around can be quite a bad experience. Thank god Mike's team won (2-1) which, I'm sure made Hilary Duff's day! Err, night.. Anyway, after the game, the lovebirds were seen hitting Butter for a little post game celebration. And coupled with the fact that she's squeaky clean in real life, we have trouble imagining that the talented actress is performing raunchy lap dances for her boyfriend. What?? According to The Sun, Hilary Duff had some fun two nights ago by giving her ice hockey player boyfriend a lap dance right in the middle of New York nightclub, Tenjune. Unbelievable! Mike Comrie must be thanking the high heavens for the one-of-a-kind performance that the former Disney star gave him, lol! A witness reported that "Hilary Duff was having a wild night, drinking Veuve Clicquot straight out of the bottle. She looked nothing like the sweet little Lizzie Maguire she once was as she treated Mike to a series of raunchy lap dances. The place was packed but Hilary didn't mind." And now, for the month of December, Hilary Duff poses sexy for the popular men's magazine, FHM. You can preview the magazine's album cover here. But why just preview the cover when I have an alluring photo of the "Come Clean" singer just right here? Lol! As you can see, Hilary Duff is all woman! Though fans of the actress/singer are questioning, "when did she ever got boobs that big??" Lol! Last Thursday night, Mexico was red-hot with all the scorching Latino musical celebrities who attended the Los Premios MTV Latin America 2007. Hilary Duff didn’t want to be the odd man out and joined in their sizzling fray! The Lizzie McGuire star has definitely outgrown her wholesome image and traded it for a sexy and mature one. The awards event was held at the Palacio De Los Deportes in Mexico City, and Hilary Duff was spotted wearing a figure-hugging gold dress, Jimmy Choo shoes Lance in gold and Tube clutch in gold python (right image below). See how hot she looks!
Hilary Duff also performed live that night, singing her song With Love. Of course, her second outfit was as sexy and figure-hugging as her first one (left image above). And her dance moves could only be described as raunchy according to witnesses. I wonder how many guys’ hearts she set aflutter that night, lol!

The Lizzie McGuire actress, Hilary Duff, is busy filming her latest movie “Greta” in New Jersey. All seems well in the set until it was time for the talented former Disney star to do a swimming scene in the raging waters off the New Jersey shore. According to sources close to the movie’s production staff, Hilary Duff was filming a scene in the ocean water where she was suppose to be floating on her back. However, the tumultuous waters became overwhelming for the singer, and two men had to assist her out. Whew! What a close call! Hilary Duff, however, was unfazed by her near-drowning experience. She was uninjured and went back to shooting Greta immediately. The film is all about a white girl who fell in love with a black cook (played by Diana Ross’ son, Evan Ross) in a magical summer they’d never forget. Can she pull it off given her non-working class background? Well, for someone as talented as Hilary Duff, it shouldn’t be much of a problem. The former Disney star will be playing the lead in “Greta”, an upcoming teen interracial romance movie. Hilary Duff’s character is a waitress who falls for a cook (Evan Ross) at the restaurant where they work. But as their romance heats up, Greta has to overcome the concerns of her grandparents about her lover's criminal past. The movie already started filming in New Jersey so Hilary fanatics, watch out for your favorite actress acting on location! The film is being directed by music-video veteran Nancy Bardawil. “Greta”, however, is the director’s first feature film. I wonder how Hilary Duff feels about that, she being a veteran of several movies (A Cinderella Story, Cheaper by the Dozen, etc), and now is being directed by a feature-film newbie. Hmm..

A 19-year old Hilary Duff? That’s So Yesterday! Coz the talented singer-actress just turned 20 years old this week. Happy birthday Hilary! =) Anyway, according to reports, the former Disney star spent the eve of her birthday doing a hosting gig for Spirit of Life Awards in West Hollywood. She immediately left after the event, and got to New York in time to celebrate her 20th birthday with current boyfriend Mike Comrie. If you remember, Hilary’s beau gave her a Mercedes last week as an early birthday gift. Isn’t that grand?? And now, Mike treated Hilary Duff for a romantic sushi dinner upon her arrival in NY. SWEET! However, according to some reports, Mike treated her to lunch in Pastis. Whatever! Lol! After their lunch/dinner date, the lovebirds burned some cash by shopping at Jeffrey, a high-end retailer based in New York and Atlanta.
